7 potential replacements for A.J. Brown

Replacement options for A.J. Brown

By: Jake Rajala

It seems quite clear that the Philadelphia Eagles stud A.J. Brown will be a New England Patriots later in the offseason. It’s a risky move by Philly. It won’t be easy for them to return to the Super Bowl without their top weapon. With that said, I’m going to lay out potential replacements for him.

Brandon Aiyuk

This feels very fitting. Brandon Aiyuk is still available right now, which is mind-boggling. Aiyuk was second team All-Pro not too long ago. Aiyuk is listed as a trande candidate during the draft, by Adam Schefter. He is 28 years old, so he has a few years left to be dominant.

Jerry Jeudy

The Cleveland Browns have a messy quarterback position. It may be wise for Jerry Jeudy to abandon ship. Jeudy is still 26 years old. He has a very high ceiling. In 2024, he unleashed 1,229 yards and four touchdowns. He had a career low 602 yards. It didn’t help that Shedeur Sanders was 35th in passing yards.

Garrett Wilson

Garrett Wilson is in a dreadful situation, similar to Jeudy. His QB is none other than Geno Smith. Smith may bring back worse memories than Adam Gase to the Big Apple. It may be time for the Jets to ship away Wilson and try to use those picks for a QB. Wilson is coming off a seven game season. In 2024, he notched 1,104 yards and several touchdowns. He has recorded at least 1k yards in each of his first few seasons.

Keenan Allen

Keenan Allen is like fine wine, as he continues to be effective at a late age. He had 777 yards last season and 744 yards in the season before that. Allen can make impressive catches and be potent in the run game. He blatantly has a high motor. Allen may be productive, but he will likely decline in a couple of seasons at most.

OBJ

OBJ turned heads at the flag fooball contest. He flexed impressive catching skills and modest route running. He looked like the WR we saw with the Rams in the playoffs and the Super Bowl. At least we saw him play well until he tore his ACL in the SB. He may not be a WR1 anymore, but he can be a nice complement across DeVonta Smith.

Honorable Mention:

Tee Higgins

Tee Higgins is one of the finest WR2s in the game. He may put up bigger numbers with Joe Burrow than Jalen Hurts. However, he is more likely to have more wins with the Eagles than the Bengals.
