Is it time for a reunion with OBJ?

Odell Beckham Jr. didn’t play last season. That didn’t prevent him from performing well at the recent flag football contest. Sure, there were no pads and it was somewhat “Pro Bowl effort” from the players. Still, it was fascinating to see the likes of Odell Beckham Jr (and Tom Brady) perform well. Of course, Brady is 48 and OBJ is 33.
OBJ has officially met with the GMEN about a potential reunion. It makes a lot of sense. They have a potential All-Pro in Malik Nabers. After him, they have Darius Slayton and Darnell Mooney. I really don’t love their group of weapons. OBJ would likely be a WR2 on the Giants.
OBJ didn’t have a role with the Dolphins in 2024. It’s somewhat hard to blame him for a lack of production, as he played with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. In 2023, he was somewhat effective. He recorded 565 yards and a few touchdowns. He wasn’t a Top WR and he was playing with a QB (Lamar Jackson) that won’t throw 5k yards.
Plus, we all witnessed some magic from OBJ, as shown below.
The GMEN also have Jaxson Dart at QB, who was arguably the third best rookie last season (after Tetaoria McMillan and Tyler Shough). He will not lose the job to Jameis Winston.
If OBJ doesn’t want to return to the Giants, I’d like to see him join one of the following teams: Saints, Rams, Bills, and Jets. Of course, he played football with LSU and grew up in New Orleans. The Saints also need a more prominent WR2.
He also played with the Rams, obviously. He could be their missing link to win the Super Bowl, again.
The Bills are also a step away from winning the Super Bowl and they need a WR, too. The Jets have one of the worst WR rooms, even with Garrett Wilson. OBJ could help them and he may like the bright lights in the Big Apple.
OBJ won’t break the bank with his next contract. I expect him to join a team for a year on a very low dollar figure.
