Reflecting on the Hawks draft

Kenneth Walker, where art thou?
The Hawks clearly drafted the replacement for Kenneth Walker at 32nd overall in Jadarian Price. He was the second Notre Dame running back to be drafted in the first overall. That’s quite sensational. His total athletic score was 75, which was fourth among RBs. He isn’t easy to take down. He can bench 225 pounds 21 times. Price averaged 6.0 YPC in his career. It’s been seen that Price will compete with Zach Charbonnet to be the 1A.
Legion of Boom
The Hawks have one of the best front sevens in football. Hence, it’s expected that their secondary isn’t perfect. So, they drafted Bud Clark, out of TCU, in the second round. He had 15 interceptions since 2022 lead all FBS players. I’m not saying he’s Kam Chancellor, but It’s expected that he can contribute right away. I love that the Hawks are building up their secondary, as they play in one of the most pass heavy divisions.
The Hawks also drafted Julian Neal in the third round. He is still working on his ball skills, but he can bully wideouts. He can get up in the face of skill players. He has said that, “I’m the most physical corner in this draft class”.
I really liked the first few picks by the Seahawks. I wouldn’t be opposed to them trading their sixth round pick for a veteran WR. Rashid Shaheed is an All-Pro return specialist, but he’s not quite a 1k yard WR. Cooper Kupp is also on his last legs.
I’d love to see them trade up from the sixth round to select a RB in the fifth round. There are clearly a lot of RBs that are drafted late, who find a way to stand out.
