49ers offensive triplet outlook

The San Francisco 49ers arguably have one of the best offensive triplets in the NFL. They have Brock Purdy at quarterback, Christian McCaffrey at running back, and Mike Evans at wide receiver. Evans has made six Pro Bowls thus far. CMAC won CPOTY and was named first team All-Pro last season! Let’s not forget that Purdy threw 20 touchdowns in nine games last season.
Evans is bound to replace Brandon Aiyuk, who was tasked with replacing Deebo Samuel. Clearly, that didn’t work out too well for Aiyuk. Flash forward to 2025, Aiyuk is speeding by the 49ers building over 100 mph. He wasn’t the same WR we witnessed jump over defenders.
Last season was the first season that Evans didn’t eclipse 1,000 yards! Yes, you read that correctly. He has had six seasons of at least 10 touchdowns! It would be an understatement to say he should be a future Hall of Famer, even if it isn’t first ballot.
Purdy is the best Mr. Irrelevant of all time. He could be the next “Tom Brady”. It’s fasincating given that TB12 was picked in the sixth round, too. He unleashed 31 touchdowns as a sophomore. He will finally have more firepower outside of George Kittle, as Evans has arrived. Purdy had the fifth best PFF grade at the position (86.1)
Christian McCaffrey is one of those ball-carriers that isn’t human. Derrick Henry is also in that club. CMAC notched 2,126 total yards and 17 total touchdowns a season ago. He is 29 years old, so he should have 2-3 more seasons left in the tank.
The 49ers offensive triplet is very superb. The challenge for everyone has been injuries as of late. If they can stay healthy, there shouldn’t be a noticeable challenge for the QB-RB-WR group.
There is modest depth on offense, so the season shouldn’t be closed, if one or two of the guys faces a set-back. Mac Jones is the best backup QB in the league. Ricky Pearsall is a solid WR2. I’d like to see another RB added, however.
