Will the Browns trade the $1.0 million QB Shedeur Sanders?

Where will the $1.0 million QB play?

By: Jake Rajala

Shedeur Sanders is known for a couple of things. First off, he’s the son of Deion Sanders. Just as Bruce Wayne was born with a very wealthy father (Thomas), Shedeur was born with a father (Deion) that was an NFL Hall of Famer. Second off, Shedeur made the Pro Bowl last season.

With that all said, a fascinating question surrounds Shedeur: could he get traded? With Deshaun Watson being reported as the start right now, Shedeur may not get the keys to the offense back. Furthermore, many teams may be intrigued with the situation and want Shedeur to be on their roster. Hence, I’m going to lay out some fits for him.

Atlanta Falcons

I’d love to see a third, young QB join the QB battle. They have Tua Tagovailoa and Michael Penix right now. That doesn’t mean the bus should stop there. The Falcons OC is Tommy Rees, who was the OC with Sanders in Cleveland last season! The Falcons also have the recently extended Kyle Pitts, Drake London, and Bijan Robinson.

Pittsburgh Steelers

It would be wise to have a young QB groomed to replace Aaron Rodgers in 2027, rather than throw a young QB in the fire next season. Shedeur has a higher ceiling than most young QBs, given that he can make magic happen in the running game. Shedeur has more firepower (DK Metcalf, Michael Pittman Jr, and Darnell Washington) than what he has in CLE.

New York Jets

Geno Smith has played very below average football. To make matters worse, he’s investigated for a domestic violence issue. The Jets simply need a talented, secure QB on their roster. Sanders can be a low-risk, high-reward for the Jets. Shedeur has a lot of affection. He would fit in well with the bright lights in the Big Apple.

Arizona Cardinals

Jacoby Brissett may be my fantasy QB, but that doesn’t mean he can go 1-11. I like that the Cardinals drafted Carson Beck, but I believe Shedeur has more potential than both of them. The Cardinals have a couple of prominent weapons (Marvin Harrison Jr and Trey McBride) to help Shedeur shine.
