Cameron Jordan and Demario Davis in the Top 100

Jordan and Davis in the Top 100

By: Jake Rajala

Cameron Jordan and Demario Davis are sure-fire Saints Hall of Famers. Matter of fact, Cam Jordan is most likely a future NFL Hall of Famer. It’s not clear if Davis will make it into Canton, on the other hand.

With that said, Jordan and Davis are still playing at a high level, despite being in their late 30s. They earned a spot in the Top 100 player list of 2026. Jordan was the 100th best player, while Davis was the 95th best player.

The question is: Do they deserve the love? Or is there some sympathy for them playing well at a very old age?

I would rather have seen Chase Young crack the Top 100 list, over Cam. Cam had 10.5 sacks in 17 games, while Young had 10 sacks in 12 games! They both had 15 QB hits. Cam had two pass deflections, while Chase had four.

I believe there is a lot of optimism about Young being a Pro Bowler next season. Jordan returned, but he will likely play less than last season. Young will also be in year two of Brand Staley’s system.

As far as Davis, I believe he deserved to be the 94th best player in the league. He lost a bit of a step, but he’s still a quality starter. He had 143 tackles, which was a career-high for him. He had six tackles for loss, and two forced fumbles. I would have liked to see him have more than 0.5 a sack and two QB hits.

The Saints lost Davis to the New York Jets. He went back to his roots, as he started his career in the Big Apple.

Pete Werner and Kaden Elliss will be the two starting inside linebackers for the Saints moving forward. I hope Davis retires as a Saint. DD and Jordan could both be in the Saints Ring of Honor. There hasn’t been an electric duo like Jordan and Davis since the Dome Patrol was around.
